history
The Society was founded
in 1954 by His Eminence Bishop Eugen Arthurs I.C. – of the Charity Society of
Blessed Antonio Rosmin in the Diocese of Tanga. It was officially approved in
the same year of 1954.
It is a Diocesan and
Apostolic Law Society. Its members are involved in the work of Religious
Education (Catechesis), serving parishioners in hospitals and schools, helping
the poor, serving/teaching young people in primary schools, colleges, secondary
schools and in development centers for mothers and girls. They are also
involved in the work of teaching young children (preschool), in the work of
nurturing girls who want to join the society and doing various other household
and parish work. In addition, they lead colleges and secondary and primary
schools, and do agricultural and livestock work.
